A miniature shamisen — the Mini Chinton — handcrafted one by one by a skilled shamisen artisan, at two-thirds the scale of a full-sized instrument. The neck is made from domestic Japanese hinoki cypress, and the sound membrane uses Yupo Paper, a synthetic paper that is highly durable and resistant to tearing. Position numbers are printed along the side of the neck so even first-timers can quickly learn which fret produces which note.
Ultraseven's bold colors and iconic design are printed directly on the sound membrane, creating a strikingly modern piece that works as both a playable instrument and a display item.
